Well, I can tell you after about 4000 miles of research over the last two weeks or so that the best fast food burger is, without a doubt, the Six Dollar burger from Carl's Jr/Hardees. Mmm, mmm good. Some of the best crispy bacon I've had on any burger, period.

Guess I'll have to do some research of my own on the ride down the Appalachians and back next summer. Never heard of Carl's Jr/Hardees. Probably a few other chains that haven't made it to northern New England as well. I remember Waffle House from a business trip to Atlanta and it was pretty good as long as I brought my own real maple syrup.

I was looking at a map again last night and noticed my buddy in TN lives just 100 scenic miles from Deal's Gap...so of course I had to add that to the itinerary! This is going to be an awesome ride!

That's if they still have it in 2009... It's looking like there may not be any RAT Raids even this year. No one on the RAT Pack Leaders email list has been able to get an answer from Triumph yet.

But yeah, as time goes on we can definitely talk about the Alaska ride (you too, Pete).
