Sydney Motorcycle Show - 3 Nov 2007

Called in to the Sydney Motorcycle show today. Not a lot of new stuff. Interesting to see the '80's technology in Chinese bikes on sale - 3 or 4 brands now.

There's even a tour bike mob doing Ural & sidecar tour rides. Might help you with your withdrawal symptoms Bob.

Anyway, here's a few pics of what caught my eye

Great pics. I think the world of motorcycling is evolving in a fascinating way. Having said that, I like the black and white Moto Guzzi best.

Just got back from there, me and my son had a good time though he wanted to sit on the Harley's rather than the Triumphs

shakes head and wails ...*oh where did I go wrong with that boy*

Mind you he got given a very 'interesting' picture of a young lady on a bike showing her considerable upfront talents and shyly asked me if he could put it up on his bedroom wall;
his first such picture ....Now that's my boy!

I'll post some more pics and details of the show in a while

Now in the interest of a young boy's moral constitution, I think you need to post that pic and we can let you know if it's suitable for his bedroom wall :-)

Just found out the Ural mob are also the aussie distributor..

Thanks Cat, from what I could see that Guzzi is a genuine 70's California optioned up for touring. They also had a morre standard version of the 70's Cali. Both looked in very good nick.

Russ,
I think you will find that the Guzzi is a current model California Vintage:

wow! you're right Bob, well I'll be ****ed. They've really got the authentic look down pat, the cylinder head covers, instruments etc are straight out of the 70's. If reliability is as good as other 200x bikes they could really do well cashing in on the retro look.

Thanks for the info.
