For the discerning Vespa owner.

Uhm...why? This looks like a most unpleasant way to trip the light fantastic. However, there are days when I'd love to ride one to work.

I'm pretty sure this was the exact same bike Welshrob used as a scooter courier in his earlier days. The one that prompted him to have Vespa tattooed on his shoulder!

Niiiice.

He's pretty sensitive on that tat Mick, ever since he found out Rossi and other original Vespa riders don't have one. He's had it inked out, now it looks like a black arm band.

Whatever you do, don't mention the tat, I did once, but I think I got away with it !

It appears he is sensitive John! Still, I'll never let him forget it......

I would guess the recoil provides instant reverse gear.

Actually, that looks like a recoilless rifle. I believe this vehicle was used for the graduation exercise for the Italian Armor school. No one graduated without hitting a wine bottle from 500m while rolling at 50 kph. The graduation rate was pretty much zero until they hired a German company to make wine bottles 10m wide and 50m high.

I don't know that thing is just a little to close to the family jewels for comfort. If somethig goes wrong you would go from John to Jane in a flash.
