OK I have to ask?

Anyone on triumprat play Halo 3?

I never got into the whole Halo thing, until this one. My buddy turned me onto the new one and now I contributed to the $170million+ sales. The multi player is a blast and will keep me busy through the crappy Ohio winter.

I enjoyed playing HALO 1 on the Mac and would love to try 2 and 3 but I don't have a Xbox or Vista system

I Managed a GameStop for a while, so I have alittle video game experience.

Halo isn't too Gory if you are not bothered by killing\dismembering\blowing up non-human characters. To some parents it's an important difference, others not so much.

Fun fact - the only way you can get away with blowing the brains out of human characters and not get an M rating is to make them Nazis. You can kill them all day and stay T for teen.

I've played 1 and 2 on PC. One was better, 2 was ok but the field of view was like having blinders on and sorta ruined it. One was better in other ways also. I think if 3 is ever available for PC it won't be for a long log time. First time i played 1 i thought it was a dated and pathetic game. (Got it free) But a while later while bored i installed it again and got past the first level and it began to get fun. Eventually came to like it a lot, but it does seem cheesy till you get past the first bit.

By the way, 2 CAN be used with XP. Someone made a crack so it works on XP and i used it successfully. I ran into issues tho, but was able to get past them with a app that someone recommended in a forum i found in a google search.

I'm really tempted to nitpick about differentiating between Nazis and Wehrmacht, but your basic point is correct. I wonder when terrorists will take over that role? It'll probably be a while, at least for WWII simulations...

technically to nitpick you could say that as the games identify the people being shot as Nazis, regardless of the correct history of the term the ESRB rates based on what the game developer portrays not necesarily what reality is\was. So if the game says you're killing "Nazis" then the ESRB rates killing them as T for teen.

I would say that shooting "terrorists" will become E for everyone anyday now.
