New models?

Howdy all . . this is usually the time of year that Triumph has the dealer's meeting, isn't it? When do we find out about the new models?

Thanks . .

About a month from now. They're holding it a little later this year.

Until then, you have your choice of roughly 8-12 rumors this year about what the two or three new models will be.

My local dealer's meeting is on the weekend of the 29th/30th September.

He's more-or-less confirmed (to me) a 1500cc shaft-driven cruiser, a 900cc Bonnie, and one or two other things "should" be announced. Or course, smoke and mirrors applies.

He's also sold 19 Street Triples, and if you wanted to order one today, it's now January delivery for a black or white model, and March for a green.

I was in another dealership today (rode over to Norfolk to get my camera back from the repairers) saw this (new to me) Triumph dealership and on the spur of the moment had them download the TOR map as my bike was running a bit rich on the stock map with the carbon TOR fitted.

While I was there I overheard one conversation where it was stated that Triumph's entire build plan for 2008, which is around 50,000 bikes across the model range, was already filled with orders.

Of course, how people can order bikes that haven't been announced is beyond me, but hey, I'm just the messenger here ...

Ling's (Norfolk Triumph) in Watton?

I was there last month, on holiday, getting some clothing & accessories.

Yes, the very same. I'd never been in there before, and the Lings Triumph dealership in Ipswich used to have a poor reputation (10+ years back) and it was a pleasant experience for me.

Hope you had a good time in Naaafulk bor!

Where is the rumor about the supposed Daytona 1050 Triple? Now that would be a fun bike!

It's gone to where all old rumors go that never came to pass.

Yes but I was talking to his sister's cousin and he said there would be one!

It's so hard to know just who to believe!
