Minor incident

Yesterday on the A406, I was filtering between stationary traffic at approx 3-5mph, when a driver suddenly veered into me, I sort of did a double take because I thought she is not, oh yes she is. This caused me to loose control and the only thing that stopped the bike hitting the deck was my leg, which is cut and bruised.
With this, I lost it and cuffed her wing mirror in anger, with this she has jumped out of the motor and we preceded to exchange pleasantries. Within about 2 minutes 4 old bill are on the scene, (must of been walking by), they take control. Lady copper asks am I ok, to which I reply, just hurt my leg. Do you need hospital, no!! Details are exchanged, nutter in the car says she is going to make me pay for damage to her car, around the mirror which I couldn't see!
I'm given an incident number. I'm furious with myself for losing my rag, which will probably cost me. I know it could of been so much worse. :frown2::frown2::frown2:

Views or advise if any, would be welcome.

When I was hit by a woman in a minivan on the phone, what chapped my buttocks was the fact that she didn't even get out to check on me. She was still on the phone. When I asked her why she didn't see if I was ok, she replied that she wasn't done with her conversation. I had to walk away because what I was thinking about doing would have cost me my freedom. Which is priceless to me. When are people going to understand that you don't run into us and it's no big deal? We could be killed by that big tin can that severely outweighs us, and physics in on their side. It's not in the least bit funny and I don't fault anyone for getting angry about it.

Hey man sorry this happened and glad you are okay.

It's a lesson - never interact with the idiots, at all. That is easier said than done, and I totally support your actions vis-a-vis her mirror. I also have had women in SUV's drive right at me both in clueless indifference and in a road rage.

For some reason, otherwise fairly normal people will feel justified running down a biker. Then again, what is normal anymore?

You need to help me out here. You were travelling at 5mph, the cars were stationary. How did she "suddenly veer"? What kind of car did she have and where were you looking?

Sorry, that seems like quite aggressive questioning to me. It isn't meant to be, I'm just asking :)

One thing you can do that is both malicious and satisfying is to snatch their keys. You can give them to the police, or my personal favorite, drop them in the storm sewer. Do it discretely and you won't have witnesses. It can be easily denied if need be , but you may prefer the devilish smile of admission.

takes a lot of self control not to do your lolly when someone out of either malice or carelessness comes close to causing you serious physical injury.

I know I have lost mine when that has happened in the past and I would call myself a pretty easy going sort of bloke.

Maybe take her at her word and say you want to buy her a new mirror - and supply her with one off a large articulated truck, explaining that the one she had before was clearly too small to be safe so you took the liberty of replacing it with a much better one that would allow her to actually see motorcycles in the future. :D

Glad you're ok. I have to constantly control my temper, not for only those trying to kill me on my bike, but the idiots who pull in front of my "articulated truck" on a whim....

I get spitting the dummy, and selling a dummy, just had never heard of doing a lolly, or most of those others.
