Triumph Voucher questions

I just bought a '14 Bonneville that is supposed to come with $1k in Triumph Vouchers. The dealer said that Triumph takes care of it at warranty registration and Triumph says the Dealer takes care of it.

Aside from that I haven't been able to get an answer as to whether they will be emailed, mailed or if its supposed to be included with the paperwork (that I haven't gotten yet)

I received a phone call from triumph giving me details of the credits about a month after purchase. It had nothing to do with the dealer in my case anyway . I chose what I wanted at shop-triumph online I believe it was and the parts were shipped directly to me .

Actually I'm not sure if it was a phone call or an email . One of them but it doesn't change things much as it was still triumph and not my dealer :) and enjoy your triumph bucks when you get them .

Got 'em spent in my head already... Splitting them between the Bonnie and the Scram...

They are vague about how they work though.. The one dealer I was looking at a bike from said I could use the vouchers at time of purchase and the dealer I bought from (due to a $2k price difference) said they didn't have anything to do with it.

bought my Rocket III roadster last March; waited for the vouchers then contacted Triumph on their website via chat provided the VIN which indicated vouchers to be awarded; its good that i reached out to them because i believe you have approx 8 weeks to use them then they go void. Mine were delivered via email which i used to apply towards the OEM leather saddle bags took about 500 bucks off.

don't wait for something to be sent to you in the mail ping Triumph and they will take care of it from there.

I contacted Triumph and was told the dealership already cashed them in......

Can't get the dealership to return my calls.

More details in my thread on LEXINGTON MOTORSPORTS..
Definitely won't be buying anything else from them (And I was still looking at a KTM Super Adventure and a Thruxton R so they messed up)

Depending on how Triumph handles this it may be my 3rd and final Triumph, Bikes are great but most of the dealers suck.... (Should have bought from Kingsport Cycles as they were Excellent but I was swayed by a few hundred dollars in price)

I bought a 14 Bonneville a few weeks ago. A few days after the dealer registered the bike with the dealer, I received voucher codes via email. These codes can be used on the shop triumph site.

If you provided your email address to the dealer, check your inbox and junk folder.

As someone mentioned above, you can also call triumph customer support 24/7 if you don't see them.

Hope it all works out.

Nothing I can do, dealer put their email in instead of mine and when Triumph sent them the dealer cashed them. Nothing Triumph can do since vouchers were issued under my Vin#

According to the dealer I was told I wouldn't get them (completely untrue) and I agreed to give them the $1000 (verbally as there is nothing about it on the paperwork.)

Sounds like a trip to small claims court and a call to the BBB. Not to mention a social media blitz to tell others in your area know which shop did this to you. May be the most expensive $1000 they ever came into.

More info....

Running a vin check on my bike shows it was registerded in KY with 5 miles on it in 2014 when I bought it with 1 mile on it in 2016...

That explains the scratches on the tank and excess wear inconsistent with a new bike.

Let me get this straight: a dealer sold you a left over '14 with 1 mile on it and was giving vouchers as they do with new bikes and they jacked you on those and now you find out it's basically a used bike. Holy cow. Triumph better fix that quick. They should have known that by the VIN.

Sounds like a pretty easy court case. I totally agree on doing a media blitz through Instagram, and YouTube. Nothing like hash tagging the dealer to give them a bit of a headache :)

Get some proof from Triumph that the dealer cashed it the vouchers and double check your sales agreement.

Have paperwork proof that the vouchers were not listed on the deal so Triumph is refunding those
Have Vin check paperwork showing title history
have pics of odometer when I received it
Have email from Triumph showing the vouchers used by dealer.

My wife is the one with the patience.... I may have a stroke...

Better business complaint filed
Google review posted
Yelp review posted
Review posted on their facebook page (which they "liked")
Complaint made to Triumph (Triumph has been great on this and promised me my vouchers by end of day today)

Kudos to Triumph! *nod of approval*

My new 14 is garaged at the dealer. Makes you think twice about doing something like that. As soon as all the snow stops in bringing her home!

Btw I was given until June 30 to use the vouchers. You probably have some time to figure out what you want to do with them as well. (I have a thread on that... There are probably multiple.)

Reading of horror stories like this, I also read the google reviews of this dealership, I feel really fortunate to have a dealer like Triumph of Seattle that I can call on when I need.

Happy to hear it sounds like you got your voucher issue resolved. Like others have said, it would be interesting to hear what Triumph has to say to this dealership.

I have a decent local dealership, though they are an MSRP or nothing dealer across the board (all brands, wont haggle at all). They had a Honda Superhawk on the showroom floor a few years ago that was a brand new 3 year old bike. I made them an offer of $500 less than MSRP and they wouldn't sell it.

I do have a really good dealership where I bought my 2013 Scrambler (Kingsport Cycles) about 2 hours from my house. I really should have bought from them but LMS undercut their price by $500.
