8 Speed Transmission?
Right, then..
Has anyone gotten the latest "Please buy more stuff from us" e mail from Triumph? It contains a sound bite of a triple running a titanium exhaust system: http://www.adz2go.com/mailmgt/Url.as...238&UID=106059
Do I have a counting problem, or did they shift eight times?
TBD

i think they got caught like the rest of us and shifted twice more while in 6th. hey, admit it. we've all done it.
TBD, you've got a nice looking bike.

They did have some extra gears on that bike. Maybe it's a new secret engine. The 8 speed triple.

Me? Shift twice in 6th? No...never, never... ('specially since mine only has a five speed)
I have, more than once, found neutral while taking off from a light...

Having listened to the sound byte twice, I find that the rider shifts seven times, the last sound you hear is him backing off after hitting seventh gear. In addition to my beloved Speedmaster, i also ride my beloved Trophy. It has six gears.
I think Triumph should provide us with the necessary smoking materials to imagine that we who ride their products can really get into a seven-gear transmission.

When I had the Ural, which only had 4 forward gears, I was always trying to select 5th.
Ironically after riding the Ural, when I got on the TBS (6 speed), I would find myself screaming down the road in 4th or 5th.
