Unhappy First fatality

Came upon my first fatal accident today in over 15 years of riding. From the looks of it, the rider went into the windshield of an oncoming small pickup. Don't know if he or the truck went over the centerline. Very sobering to see the body bag lying on the asphalt next to a crumpled bike. Another reminder to ride alert & safe.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, whoever they may be.

+1 Cat. As we know motorcycling is fun, but not without it's risks.

Thoughts

Yes our thoughts to the unfortunate person and their family.

A sobering thought. +1 Russ.

I happen to be listening to Lucinda Williams sing "Lake Charles" as I read this post. She has a refrain, "Did an angel whisper in your ear and hold you close and take away your fears in those long last moments?"
I'm not a religious person. Spiritual, not religious. But I hope his angel whispered in his ear and took away his fear. Brings tears.
