I heard a bit on NPR this morning (yes, National Public Radio- what would you expect from me?) that the Elvis name generates $50 million a year in copyrighted income. Some corp. paid $100 million a few years back from the Elvis estate for 85% of the income. The corp. predicts that licensing revenue will grow from $50 to $150 million a year in the next decade.

Not bad coming from a guy who ate peanut butter and banana on white bread.

King of Kash!

The local FM station was doing an Elvis tribute the other day and played a great song I hadn't heard before by him and of course they didn't say the title after playing it and I can't remember the lyrics. I've never been a big Elvis fan but even I acknowledge he's the King. Who else could be King? Any contenders there? Maybe Barry Manilow? Or perhaps ...

Its gonna be a long, long time before I have 4,000 or 6,000 posts. I already have to put a new rear tire on the bike and it ain't a year old. Rather ride than write but, I'll probably gain some ground this winter. Posting is good entertainment while I'm ignoring whats on the TV.

To my knowledge, there are no contenders to the throne. Prior to Elvis' death, Neil Diamond, Wayne Newton and Frank Sinatra were talked about as successors. Since Elvis's death, I guess folks think it would be sacreligious to challenge him as the ruling monarch of rock and roll.

What comes after 'Commentator'

Well let's do the math here shall we Cheap? 6000 posts in approximately 22 months comes out to 273 posts per month or just shy of 10 posts per day. Now assuming that you don't reply to every thread you read and that you must take an occasional day off and vacation once in a while that works out to...let's see carry the five, divide by the square root of the hypotenuse, times the sum of posts.....well, you just love this site. Wasn't there a "Retired Legend" rank for some ridiculous amount of posts? What happened to the little rank page that told you what ranks = number of posts? Is that still here or did Shawn bag that?

OK your majesty, time to go outside and ride now!

We have all known that you are full of it.

You have to deduct all the postings that you have had deleted from the total score, which means buggerall anyway.

Quantity does not equal quality.
