white trash bag mystery resolved...

I'm exiting Interstate 5 at the same exit that I hit the White Trash Bag and I look over and see two Caltrans workers carrying the white trash bag...same red drawstrings so I know it's the one....manage to pull over and walk back and tell the guys I hit that bag, I need to know whats in it....It's actually two trash bags and once we get the bags off it turns out to be a truck battery....not some pickup battery either, it's one of those Peterbilt size battery's, the ones with two rope handles. Sucker had to weigh 125 pounds.

No wonder it felt like I hit a wall when I slammed into it.....

Evidently after I hit it someone else hit it and booted it off into the deep underbrush so i couldn't find it after the accident.

I wonder what the odds are of me just happening on to these guys as they are carrying it away...pretty weird.

"There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits."

..........just as well I've lost my remote.

Well so ends the tale of the battered battery.

Hope you are fully recovered Nochi, I believe you broke some toes, but had a great save.
