A Little Expensive !

I was bored at work today, so I started to browse through e-bay, and I found this guy who wants 24K for a 1973 X-75 Hurricane.

Here is the address so you to can see it.

You would think that price would include shipping.

From what I remember Hurricanes never really got past $10,000.

That bike is one of the ugliest machines ever made. I have no idea why that thing is popular.

Ugh, no wonder the Japanese companies put Triumph in thier grave.

I think I may have seen one before just not remembering. Anyway its an interesting look, not necessarily a bad look. Couldn't afford it no how regardless.

Other Motorcycle: I wish!
I can only assume that this guy is REALLY proud of his bike.

This gentleman is a bit deluded. There was one a while back on Ebay went for less than half that.

I actually think they were pretty cool bikes, but I am biased.

This 1947 Triumph Speed Twin is being auctioned here in Auckland on 11th August. The auctioneers have indicated it would bring between US$7500-11000.

No wonder it's so expensive: it's got Cyberdyne digital instrumentation.

If I were asking that kind of money for a collectable bike, it'd be perfect and all stock. This bike is neither.

The seller is either dreaming or waiting for an idiot.

From what I've seen an excellent original/restored Hurricane is going to max out at around $14,000 to $14,500 in a high profile auction. Over time I'm sure their value will continue to increase. They're considered very desirable by collectors. Triumph hired Craig Vetter to design the bike for the American market which was/is going through a chopper craze.

Hopefully this comes thru alright

Thats a stock, pristine, original X-75
The one on e-bay is definitely not in the same class as this one, & I assure you my buddy didn't part with 20 large to re-acquire the one above. I've seen a few Hurricanes that look good, but under closer inspection have re-poppped fenders and such, but the one @ ebay is the first I've seen with black hubs and a sissy bar.
