Not sure if this is of any interest to others or not . Or how many are aware of this model / brand .But this is the first for me as I never heard of this brand before . This bike made it's first run in 32 years tonight to the weekly gathering of old cars at the local A & W . It was purchased just recently from it's original owner . He kept it in his basement for the last 30 years or so .

I remember them.
They weren't very common.
They had a bunch of smaller models too.

I remember them. The carbs feed into the side of the crankcases, so to speak, because they used rotary valve induction. They also were brought in to America under the "American Eagle" name by McCormack Industries, which also imported the Laverda 750cc vertical twins under the name, as well. Bridgestones had a pretty good reputation for power and reliability. The story goes that Japan's other bike manufacturers told Brigestone that they'd start making their own tires if Bridgestone didn't stop making bikes..............well, that's up to us to believe or not.

In 1970, after several semesters of frustration, instead of using my college school loan money for tuition, I bought a used Bridgestone 350 GTR (EXACTLY like the one in your photo) and rode it from Marshall, Minnesota to Nebraska to visit my mother. Then, after several days, rode it to St. Paul to see a girlfriend that I had met back in college, who I wound up staying with for the next seven years. I don't remember what became of that Bridgestone 350, but I do recall that it produced a lot of smoke, had good power for it's time (I believe they were rated at about 40hp), and it was a great-looking bike...as yours is. Nice find, and a very rare one, especially in that condition.

I should have made it clear that it's not mine . I just took a ride last night to check out the weekly gathering of old cars , bikes at the A & W and met the bike and it's owner .
