Hey, there are all kinds of riders and HD has no monopoly on jerks.

Just yesterday I was at a stop light and noticed a bike a couple of cars back. A moment later, he was at my right rear fender. He must have "lane split" to join me at the front. He was on an old standard Jap bike. I turned to give him a nod and a "hi, how's it going" and he stared at me like he couldn't speak English. J.A.!

I've been dissed by old Triumph riders too. There are J.O.s everywhere. Personally, I find most HD riders are as friendly as anyone else. And although dated, there's nothing wrong with the HD lineup per se. They sell jillions of bikes every year, they must be doing something right.

I don't mind the V-Twin crowd so much. It's those freakin snobby scooter guys that tick me off. Nothing but a bunch of step-through elitists there

I got completely dissed by a young S3 rider. He pulled up on his triple and parked just as I and a buddy were walking out of a pizza place. I was wearing my Triumph jacket too. I walked over, said hello and asked him what year his bike was and complimented him on his choice. He said "02" and then walked off like he felt sullied having to consort with someone older and obviously beneath his level. Mind you that's the ONLY negative Triumphian I've encountered so far but, as it's been abundantly stated, A.H.s are a dime a dozen and they ride every bike out there.

I like to put little rides together and if someone wanted to join us on his harley, he'd be welcome...(if he could keep up :-D  )

You know, I'm not sure if denman13's story is so much about a Harley rider dissing a Triumph rider, but maybe growing weary of the whole biker banter in general, even among other Harley riders. Some people just get tired of what they perceive as having the same old conversation over and over again. Not that that's an excuse - I think there's always time to be courteous. But maybe the mindset isn't always what it seems to be.

Same goes for the wave. I don't know, it's just a thought.

I thought most people were bashing Harley riders. When a company sells 60 or 70 percent of the bikes on the road, if not more, 60 or 70 percent of the a#$holes are going to ride those bikes, maybe more.

I've had a Hardley, and I liked it. I've liked almost all the MC's I've owned. The guys I ride with all ride Hardleys. The few times I've ridden with other sport bikers, I wished I had been riding with the Hardley guys. There is NO pressure at all with the Hardley crowd. Yes, they have their small percentage of snobs, but compared to BMW riders, they're the fricking United Nations. The only thing I will poke fun at them about is how they emphasize the individual, but in a sea of black how do you pick them out??? They are all wearing black leather with Hardley branding on it, engineer boots, no gloves or fingerless type, and most wear half helmets. sheesh....

Hi akenaten,
I would suggest most comments here are meant if fun not serious but I agree with what you have said in your original post.

I personally do not like HD's much as a bike, but that is a personal choice like what I like to wear etc (my boss has asked me who dressed me!)

Any how, I know some very nice people who own them and also some very talented riders who own them, Miker being one of them.

I wave to everyone and am mildly ticked off when I don't get a response which is frequent.
