"Scoot Free or Die" those rebellious scooter riders, descending upon towns swilling root beer, chewing Bazooka bubble gum and leaving the sticky pink blobs all over, using cuss words like "darn" and "holy cripes", tearing up and down the street at 30 mph, hogging the science section at the library WITHOUT A VALID LIBRARY CARD! Run 'em out of town, that's what I say!

If I weren't such a big, fat old fart I'd ride a scooter, probably a more powerful Vespa model. I think they look fun and cool, and I sure wouldn't mind 60+ mpg.

My wife made me sell my scooter when I declared I was getting the Bonneville. Something unreasonable like I can only ride one at a time and to expensive to insure both. Geez, women. Anyway It always angered me off when people refered to my 250cc People as a moped. It's a SCOOTER darn it. Holy cripes when are you people gonna get it. BTW it got 70 mpg and could do 69 mph and had storage up the wazoo, whatever that means.

I'm actually tempted to get one of these next year:

Piaggio MP3

Every review I've read has raved about it's stability, even in the wet. Plus, 65 mpg ain't too shabby.

I have to admit I do feel more like a "bada$$" when I'm on my Kymco. There is just something about scooters that screams testosterone! :-D
