To me, that's a scary thought. Drivers have enough ignorance with 'conventional' cell phones, but this I-Phones stuff requires too much visual interaction, not to mention that they can bring their favorite "movies" with them on the road. The attention required to drive a car will not go beyond the glass cages. :???:

Hmmm, how do you think road safety will be affected by this?

Does anybody really care? It's just another Job gimmick like his kerap browser launch. The frigging thing doesn't even have 3G! How retro.

Good point. I never thought of it that way. We're screwed

I don't have and iPhone, and I don't want one, but Arch, for a few dollars more, you can get the 8 model. The 3 gig is selling for $500 and the 7 gi8v for $600. what a deal.

My wife and I were watching the news stories and goofing on the geeks and dorks who sat in line for hours to be the first to buy the I-Phone. They're the same dweebs who will camp out for days to get the first game box or special edition DVD.

At that very moment the phone rang. It was our 23-year-old son. "Guess what? I'm calling you from one of the new I-Phones!"

Good grief.

I have but one word to describe anyone who "camped out" in line so they could have the pleasure to spend $600 on a phone.

LOSERS.
