Well it's what we've all suspected now a report states :

"The brain's frontal lobe is responsible for cognitive functions that control life-saving behaviour such as emotion regulation, hazard anticipation and risk management," he said. "Yet brain imaging studies show this lobe does not fully develop until drivers are 25."

I thought it was action and not age that determined a squid...

and here was I thinking it was the fact that they wore "pretty" coloured leathers (or nothing at all) and rode Kawasukis of some sort..

Suzuki GSX-R is the official choice of the cult in my area ( but not limited to kawi's or Honda) ... To be a card carrying member you must only ride in...
1. t-shirt
2. shorts ( jeans are allowed on cold days)
3. Tennis shoes ( boots if your riding to/from work)
4. Ball cap - must be worn backwards
5. Sunglasses - only if its sunny out
6. Gloves are again allowed on cold days

Bike mods...
1. exhaust - only if its loud
2. Under glows/neons are highly recommended
3. Suspension can only be set up to lower the bike and must be for looks only.
4. Any Modifications that could be considered performance or handling gains which would benefit on the track or twisties should not be done to the bike

any violation of the dress code or bike modification will results in immediate suspension of membership for 2 week minimum :hammer:

Tbird, you live in New Zealand! Of course you're surrounded by squids! And jellyfish, and octopii...

This study (as reported; who knows what the researchers ACTUALLY concluded) completely overlooks individual-to-individual variation. I know some people in their 40s who have yet to truly develop emotion regulation, hazard anticipation and risk management. I'm not sure how many teenagers there might be that have these skills.

Squid is a behavioral term, but the younger crowd is somewhat overrepresented.
