I'm 63. Bought my first bike 46 years ago but the first I ever rode on was a 1947 Indian Chief in 1947. My mother's cousin Cletus bought it with his GI bill. Country boy, put me on the tank and rode to the end of the (gravel) driveway and back.
But, being 63, I digress. How many of us old guys are members here and read the forums? Just curious.

I think I am a little too young. When I first read your post I thought you were referring to riding a native indian chief piggy back and not a motorcycle.

I'm on a steep learning curve - downwards!

Welcome To The Thingy.

:-D

Older riders? There are several members who could be considered "older" in a chronological sense but I don't think there are too many as old as you.

Just kidding. Welcome to the forum. BTW, I'm 58.

Still stuck on 21, I found that having birthdays just increases your age so I ignore them.

So you were a tank slapper at the age of 3, good going and nice bike.

Welcome to the site

Olwasisnam..........Did I just respond to your post on the Speed TV forum? If it wasn't yours it was one just like it. Glad you found your way over here. I think you will enjoy the topics on this site and there is a wealth of knowledge here, unfortunately none of its mine.

Welcome. This is an aussie forum but we welcome participation by all of the Triumph world :hammer: kit:

Plenty of knowledge, ribbing and BS so feel free to join in.

Ya can ask any questions you like about the war, but be careful of oil and tyre threads :-) Some of the old timers are a bit touchy about those topics.. Me I say use the subject line and only read/respond to what interests you so go for it.

Finally, there's no stoopid questions here, just the opportunity for someone to take the p@ss out of ya!

Welcome to the RATnet Olwasisnam. 46 years on two wheels. The bugs accumulated on your teeth and screens over the years must be an entomologist's dream. There is much goofing with the occasional tidbit of serious expertise (I contribute mainly in the silliness department.) :-D

LOTS of 50+ riders here. I, still in my 40s, must be considered the "kid" among many. But we're all pretty young here. I mean come on, you're riding a sport tourer, not a Rascal.

Come visit us on the Sprint forum too!
