Hate to bring up this awful story. This weekend past, the son in law of my cousin, fatally injured himself in a motorcycle accident. He was only in his early 20's.
Apparently having just entered a turn, a strong burst of wind blew the bike over. (Wyoming has seriously high winds) The rider's brother was following immediately behind him (in a pickup)and called for an ambulance wherein he was life-flighted to Salt Lake City. He passed away this morning.
He was NOT wearing a helmet and most of the bones in his head were broken. He is survived by his wife and two children. A tragic loss.

ALL the Gear, ALL the Time.

Dang, I hate these stories...

And I want to hear zero of the "It's just his time, live free, do your own thing" tripe...

Sad sad sad.

I can see how that could happen.
When I was in Arizona recently I was really surprised at how hard the wind blew. Nothing to disturb it as it howls over the flatlands.
Have to be very aware in those conditions.

Sorry to hear of the loss of life but I never understand why people don't wear helmets..

Truly sad for his family. Here in Pennsylvania it seems that the wearing of protective gear, especially helmets, is the exception rather than the rule among the cruiser set and, to a lesser degree, with the sportbike riders too.

My condolences.

not too derail too badly......
This must have happened between Casper and Laramie?
My wife is from Casper and that is the most horrible windy place I have ever been to.

Man that is bad news.
My condolences to his family.

I can't understand why some states don't have a helmet law.

I was under the impression helmets were made compulsory in the US 20 odd years ago, or is it just some states that have a helmet law?
