Borrowed this from a HD forum where I lurked at the behest of my neighbor.
http://www.livevideo.com/video/landi...r-a-biker.aspx
I haven't figured out the link thing, so maybe someone else can.
This is sobering for all of us. BTW, the some HD guys seem to think it can't happen to cruisers because they go slower!

Is it just me, or is this someones idea of splicing together every morbid motorcycle accident video they could find on the net.
I am sure that the intelligent riders among us do not need reminding of the danger that we expose ourselves to in our chosen passtime.
Reminding the not so intelligent riders out there is simply a waste of time.

I also pass on the links. I feel sorrow for the departed and their friends and family; but the in-your-face can be too much at times.
I suppose we need periodic reminders of the loonies who are out to trash us, and the constant mindfulness we need to have with our own riding skills and habits...
But, I had enough of Code Red and High School Prom Gone Bad when I was in driver's ed. a gajillion years ago.

I appreciate the video. It's sobering and to the point. With the 4th of July coming up and my sons and I headed to Yellowstone on bikes, the timing could not have been better. Kudos.

I don't like hearing about them anymore, getting morbid. If we all had to report the number of motorists and pedestrians knocked off it would crash the site.

Let's face it, riding a bike is very dangerous. For me, that is much of the attraction.
I do try to increase my survival chances, by wearing a helmet, taking the MSF courses and I just ordered this video, " Ride Like A Pro IV ", to improve my riding skills:
www.ridelikeapro.com/RLAP4.asp
IMO, very few people ride well and I could be much better. :knkknk:

I don't mind watching these videos if only to be a more aware rider.
I too ride for the thrill and danger, but not to be a statistic.
I like to see the danger from different perspectives. I find the Duc rider riding cautiously as a bit of a joke though!!

Yes, they were sobering wrecks, and it's a good reminder that it could happen to any of us. Only yesterday I was caught in a violent thunderstorm. The accompanying high winds blew me into another lane. I was on a four-lane, but if it had been a two-lane I could have easily bought the farm.
I appreciate the fact that any bike is subject to having an accident, but were the HDs intentionally left out of the video collection? The last three bike wrecks I have seen were HDs.
