Girls with flowers in their hair decorating that heathen pole (a matter for the dirty minded..). After that an outdoor meal consisting of herring and seasoned snaps and some fresh strawberries.
Then some silly games and silly talk until the sun rises and shine on our Triumphs on the longest day of the year.
Life is pleasant!

Well I am happy for you guys having your Midsummer Eve, for today we are having our Winter Solstice.

This means you guys from now on are on the way down while we are on the way up ! Somewhere along the way we cross paths with the same temperatures.

Can't really complain here because we had an Indian summer and a warm autumn and it is only the last few days that we feel the cold wind from our Southern Alps. Well that's in Auckland anyway, down in the South Island they are skiing.

Life is pleasant !

Please Doodle, DO NOT post pics!

I was going to say something about 'pics of the doodles' but I will refrain.

Oh...um...uh, HI!

Just got back from the Solstice frolic. I made tuna and white beans, ala Italia, and black beans w/ brown rice, ala the crunchy-granolas. One of our witches is a vegetarian.

There were MEN there this time, tho a preponderance of them were French.

Swede, we had clover necklaces, not flowers-in-hair. I had to go pick up some Prednizone at the pharmacy immediately following, having froliced too close to the poison ivy, exposing all sorts of tender flesh.

Didn't realize I was still wearing the clover til I got a really funny look from the pharmacist...
