I just mounted a set of these on my buddy's Honda ST1100, he's already got about 2,500 miles and they are wearing very nicely for a 670 pound bike. I'm thinking about trying these next on my bike. Has anybody beat me to it? Are they a good tire on the Sprint?

I've got nearly 3K on mine and really like them. They did awesome through Deals Gap, Cherohala Skyway, etc. even in the wet.

My dealer is trying to talk me into getting a set when I wear out the Z6's. Keep us posted in the tires sticky Ok.

I have a set on deck for the little bike, but really looking forward to the new Pilot Road 2's due stateside late summer. Folks over on Sprintowners.com give the Storm pretty good marks, as do the guys on the Honda ST boards.

..... I got a set of Storms earlier this year after Davem talked me into trying Avons for my 1st replacement set of tires.

I did a 5,000km trip straight away and am very happy with them. They turn in nicely without being twitchy and feel really well planted all the time.

So far approx 6,000km and seem to be only about 50% worn so I'm expecting reasonable mileage.

I dont ride too hard so cant really comment on grip except to say no anxious moments so far in the wet or dry.

They look good too.

I have had many sets of the earlier Avon Azaro both on my Sprint and on my previous GSX R600.

I don't get very good milage out of my tyres for a number of reasons but the best I have ever acheived was on Azaros, the Storm's predecessor.

6,370kms on a rear, the best I have ever acheived.
They have good wet & dry grip and a neutral handling with average turn in speed.
The Storm has even better wet grip than the Azaro.

What Dave said, I've had good luck with the Azaro's m'self. I have Pilot Roads on now which are also good. Another one is the Pirelli Diablo Stradas by all accounts.

I've got the tyre the storms replaced- the Azaros. They are great for feedback, handling, wear, and confidence. I've got about 5000 miles on mine and the Sprinty seems to love them too.

Worlds better than the Bridgestones they replaced.

I've Storm STs on my S3. They're much better than the Michelin Pilot Roads on it before. I've put 2K on them, and they look good as new.
