My wife and I are moving from PHL to a beautiful home in Mt. Lebanon, suburban Pittsburgh. We settle on the house on July 18 and will move in around Aug 1. House has a nice single garage attached to basement. So I'll be able to set up most of my workshop in the basement and just have my Sprint and KLR in the garage, along with air compressor, Handy Lift, and TIG welding setup.

I'll be looking for various destinations, a friendly Triumph dealer for parts and tires, and like-minded riders for year-round adventures.

In particular, we (in Philly) have a "Turkey Pro" ride on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Many LD riders and owners of interesting Brit and Euro machines gather for kicking tires and telling lies. The poster for this ride once stated "pray for rain, the sissies will stay home". The organizer of this wonderful even passed away a few weeks ago - Robert "Snuffy" Smith.

The least I can do in his honor is organize a gathering in my new home area. More info available including many pix.

I love PA. It's my favorite part of the east coast. I can't count the number of miles I've covered in south central PA.

I can't give you any advice on dealers, etc., but I can ask you to eat a massive Philly cheese steak for me. No veg, extra cheese, with mushrooms!

Hey neighbor! Congratulations on the new home!

I moved to Mount Lebanon from North Carolina three years ago and have found a lot of interesting roads, not to mention a great Triumph dealer, 30 minutes from the house.

This site was instrumental in making friends and getting familiar with the area. PM if you like and I can provide full details.

Stu and up North

Great city! Enjoy the US Open at Oakmount... the hardest, bloodiest, best-est, classic course in the US of A!

Great Italian food spots, real ale pubs, spiffy new airport.

My first advice on riding in the Burgh area is head north. Look for fun twisties up around New Castle, Grove City, and Clarion.

DO NOT forgoet to stop in at any of the various Quaker Steak and Lubes for food, they have great wings!

My favorite slice of asphalt heaven is Nick Perry Highway (RT 666) up by Tionesta, if you go up there I'd suggest taking either 66 or 62, lots of fun roads as long as you don't get stuck behing the coal trucks!

I envy you, I wish I was going back there with ya.

BTW you going to the Triumph Come Home Rally this weekend? I'm picking my bike up from Martin's either today or tomorrow and will be itching for a ride anywhere.

If you want to meet up, call me @ 484-802-2116. (If you don't mind going slow with a cruiser type!)
