They took away my license today.

Said I had ran from the cops at over 200km/h at a back road with my Ninja. Which I naturally did not do.

And get this. They said "A dark motorcycle, rider dressed in dark." My Ninja is electric blue, my leather jacket is blue and white, and my helmet is yellow and black

and "The bike came from the opposing direction. When stop signal was flashed, the bike started to accelerate quickly. We started pursuit (meaning u-turn -pete) but the bike soon escaped despite us chasing him at over 180km/h. However the license plate was XXXXX"

THEY SAY THEY DIDN'T SEE WHAT COLOR MY BIKE & GEAR WERE BUT THEY SAW THE PLATE? *** IS THAT?

What I suspect is that the cop which I actually did see, who even stopped by the road to check me out when he saw me, just saw a bike roughly matching the description and checked out the license plate.

I already called a lawyer, he said there's definitely a case there, but that I'll still be without license until they take it to court

If you were seen in the general area where the supposedly pursuit took place after the event then you can equally claim the real culprit would not be anywhere near there at the time you were seen.

Fight it.

Very nasty business Pete.

Don't shoot till you see the whites of their eyes!

That would have me seriously p!ssed off.

Is this in the USA?

All the best for a successful case and that he gets what he deserves and you get your licence back asap.

I beleive in Karma

In my life I've had to

Why would the police do this? They figure everyone on a bike is guilty anyway. The one that got me turned around and followed me. I rode through his town at the posted limit out of respect for the villagers and the a$$hole decided since I was on a bike I would eventually speed. Lesson learned. Never trust a cop to be a decent human being and always watch your six.

I'm guessing he saw some squid scream along at an outrageous speed, and that pi$$ed him off enough that he took it out on the next motorcyclist matching anything like the description of the squid. Or he had a fight with his wife/gf last night. Whatever. Police are human.

Fight it, win, get back on the road. It stinks, but there are worse things to be framed for.
