Other Motorcycle: anything I can get.

dont know if this is old news but MCN this week have the full set of pics of the finished bike, lower pegs for rider and passenger, new headers as there on show, new tail unit to match S3 pipe design and copy of S3 lights and pixi hat fairing, tuned for lots more midrange and slightly downgraded brakes, I like it alot.

HHHmmmm

That just looks like a baby Speed Triple.

Missed opportunity to my mind....

Could have shown more imagination with the styling....

I mean it is not as if they are modular any more.

I like it (although I prefer the single swing arm of the S3) it makes a lot of sense for Triumph to make this bike and I reckon it will split the sv650 market right open... (about time too!)

yeah, this will definitely be in the Sv650 market, and probably a much better bike. I do like the SV though, my brother and a friend both have 'em.

I've seen it in the flesh....did a tour of Hinckley yesterday, and they had some lined up waiting to be packed up and shipped out for the press launch...

Look good - if you like that kind of thing.

Thanks for that, Doodle. Hope you don`t mind but I`ve copied it for the S3 forum. The DSSA is the most obvious difference but there are other subtle differences too. The cans, pillion peg hangers and wheels are different, other than that it`s VERY speed triple. Now if I can just convince the wife to sell her Monster S2R and get one....
Any idea of a launch date yet?

They must have either detuned the engine, or added weight, otherwise why would anyone buy a S3?

It looks great to me but then I was always a fan of the streetfighter look. Mind you (rubs chin) the original S3 was and will be the classic I think.

Well it's the 675 engine to start with not the 1050 so that makes a big difference. I also think that the tank is the 675 tank not the S3 tank.
Plus the price and insurance costs are going to be a lot less than the S3 - almost a perfect starter bike in my opinion... :hammer:
I reckon it would also be a good 'cheaper' track bike...
