Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be an odd comparison. One example is guys who lived and loved motorcycles enough to only live in their shop and help other people work on their bikes, had tons of know how, and didn't act like they had money even if they did. On the other hand the apartments are for people who have tons of money, and want to show it off in their expensive home with the glass motorcycle showcase. Not only do these people not work on their own bikes, there is a dealership on the ground level to do the work (in some ways the same people from the early part of the story poked fun at). I doubt that the apartments would smile on some of the things that happened at the garages. Or I could be completely off base, and the people from the first part of the story may be the people who opened the condos.
