It takes you to a page that shows you a 360 view of a D675 in Quicktime. It is quite large so if you connection isn't so good it will hang your browser.
If you close your browser using the "End Now" function, it will also refresh Windows Explorer which manages your desktop (icons/background pic/icons). If your computer is busy freeing up resources from closing the application, it can take a second for refresh to complete. All your icons disappear along with the task bar. It'll usually pop back in the opposite order, task bar and then you'll see your icons.
Notice i said Windows Explorer and not Internet Explorer. WE is the thing you use to find files on your computer. IE is the thing you use to find web pages on the internet.
The desktop gets refreshed quite a bit, but most of the time you don't notice it because it's done so fast. Faster (newer) computers make it less noticeable. So do computers that aren't bogged down with malware, spyware, and all those crappy little programs software providers like to have running all the time on your computer like the Adobe Speed Launch and Office Startup.
You can actually cause this behavior if you really want to. Just open WE and find the biggest file on your computer. Then make a copy/paste it to another location on your computer. Wait for the progress bar to come up (with the total minutes remaining) and let it run for a bit. Then do the "End Now" thing.
