I was riding the other day when I saw two bikes ahead. One looked as if it might be a Triumph, so I caught up and saw it was a T-Bird. Nice looking bike. He was riding with a Harley. Also a nice looking bike.

I moved alongside, as there was plenty of room, to give the T-Bird a thumbs up. As I stuck my thumb up and nodded at his logo, both shot me another sign. Wasn't with the thumb.

Needless to say, the Sprint performed flawlessly as they watched my three pipes kiss them goodbye. (Man I love the torque in the Sprint!)

Ya just never know.

PS Before you say it, yes there was PLENTY of room. No way was I crowding them.

That T-bird has definitely been hanging around Harleys too long.

Can I ask a dumb question?
Were you all in the same lane when you pulled up next to them?
See, I was minding my own on the interstate one day when all of a sudden I'm side-by-side with a totally strange biker, he rides with me for a few and then accelerates away, cool, but my heart rate went up quite a bit because he's in my lane...only three feet away from my handlebar...at 85 mph. Can't say I was very comfortable at that point. He just appeared all of a sudden and scared the piss out of me.
Since he was in my lane and didn't move over to the next one, I was tempted to shared my anger with him.
"Plenty of room", but were you in their lane?? It's the lane thing.

Nope, none of that. Slow, city one way street. Very wide. No sudden moves. Came up on them with caution and was very respectful of their space.

Got to say their response shocked me. Maybe my full face helmet and my Sprint gave them the impression I was a squid. But you would've thought my jesture of "thumbs up" would have indicated I wasn't getting in their face.

Oh well...

I guess you just ran into one of the very few Richards that ride Triumphs....

Oh well, showing them your tail light was the most appropriate response. :knkknk:
