In terms of their model range, that is :-D

I think Thruxton 900 and Rocket III

They should offer a kit to turn you Bonnie into a Thruxton, and Rocket III sales are really flat.

Triumph comes and goes with their line up. What are your thoughts?

Good guesses. How about the Scrambler?

I think most of the Bonneville models are like free money to them, these machines are relatively low tech and use dirt cheap componentry. They're also pricier than equivalent models (eg the SV650) and still selling, so I'd think they'd want to keep them around unless a particular niche model (Thruxton or Scrambler) isn't selling. My Thruxton is a really fun machine, I wouldn't have bought a Bonneville if it wasn't in Thruxton guise already.

The RIII is hugely expensive by contrast, but it's been such a big investment that they probably want to wait it out a bit more before they kill it. I've heard this one has been pretty disappointing but maybe it needs some time to catch on.

I dunno, all of Triumphs current models are pretty up to date and doing reasonably well in their target markets (except for maybe the RIII). If they had to kill one I'm not sure what it'd be.

Thing is ask any America owner and they'll say that Triumph doesn't give a stuff about them... I mean why else would they have made it up to 865 the same as the Speedmaster?

They'll be the one ot go - I'm sure of that.

Can`t speak for the rest of the world but the Americas and Speedmasters do really well over here, they both seem to sell in similar numbers. The Thruxtons seem to sell OK too. The R3 is just a phenomenon, selling in huge quantities, if I go out for a half a day ride on the w/end I will be guaranteed to see at least two of the things. I`ve only seen one Scrambler on the road since they were released and the ones that the dealers get in seem to sit around for a long time so I`m betting it could be the Scrambler.

Who knows. They already killed what I consider to be some of their best models:
1) The entire T3 line. That engine was F****KING great. And the TBS was one of the classiest streeters around.
2) The Trophy. There wasn't a better looking tourer ever made. And it didn't only look good, it toured good.

If I had to choose, I would loose the Rocket, because it's only reason to be was to be the largest displacement production cycle in the world. It is, and until someone tops it why bother? I would keep the Thrux, it is dead sexy. Probably loose the Scrambler, even though it looks great, the TIger is really a better dual purpose machine.

Just don't get mad at me, you asked.

They don't need to kill any of their models. They need to add annew big bore daytona! According to most people in here. Though for me the 955 is fine.

Agreed Nick.
Also they need a big bore (1600cc) TBS like this:

I don't think anything is going away. I believe the scrambler to be very popular here. I also think that the Thrux will be around a while. I believe they will likely expand the line with the new factory in Thailand. It should make the depth of models sustainable.

I agree with Idaho about the T300. There is just visceral appeal with that engine.

They have put a lot into the Rocket, so I would be very surprised if they go away.

I don't know what the sales data shows but I would guess the Thrux to be about the lowest seller in the whole line up. I think its a great bike and better finished than the regular Bonnevilles but its just a bit underpowered for the sport bike category.

I don't even know that there is even one Thruxton in stock at Triumph Reno. They must have at least 3-4 of every other Triumph model.

I would think the Rocket is a keeper. Though I'd like to see them put the motor or some variant of it in something other than a Cruiser. That TBS 1600 looks pretty awesome.
