So, my dear friends...

The gal who hind-ended me got back from her vacation today. I sent her, via e-mail, the estimate from my dealer. Full restoration.
Her first question was about how I was doing physically. No worries, I said.
After that, the estimate and charges, and work/parts needed were no problem.
It'll be $2700 when all is said and done.
She is hugely relieved that I hadn't suddenly developed a crick in my neck or foot.
She also, to her credit, wants to make sure that my bike is fixed and restored to its primo condition.
I am greatly relieved, appreciative of all the advise given here, and comforted about the goodness of people (at least this one.)

So, release the hounds of fix-alogy and parts availability!

Thanks all for the caring and input.

Soon, I hope, I'll have a "Back on the Road" report.

Good news TBA, glad you weren't left in the lurch.

Now about our professional fees for all this good advice we gave you. Mine alone comes to around 5 grand. Did you include that in your estimate ?
