Take a look at the link below and tell me whats diffrent about the brakes on the Speed Triple and New Tiger.

http://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/6185.aspx

Take a close look, no brake fluid reservoir on the master cylinders !!!!!!! In all the shots of the Speed Triples and New Tigers there are no mirrors or Reservoirs. My new Tiger has one. In the Triumph brochure there is even a guy riding one with no reservoir

I had noticed that in all of the PR shots of the S3, none of the bikes had mirrors but I didn`t notice the master cylinder. In a lot of countries, Australia certainly, that would be grounds for a misrepresentation lawsuit. I can see it now... "Yes your honour, I wanted the bike in the picture but when they delivered it, it had all these ugly things bolted onto the handlebars."

It's not a marketing thing, I've heard they're not putting mirrors on any more of the models made in Thailand.

Instead there's a small notice saying "What iza behind does no matter"

It wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility. BMW Boxer models up until 1981 used to have the front brake master cylinder mounted beneath the petrol tank, and it was operated by cable from the brake lever.

It's an old trick manufacturers have been using for years... no mirrors give their bikes a cleaner look. They take them off for the photo shoot or like said before, photoshop.

Yes to all,
And take a close look at the Torque mag. No brake res. on the speed triple last year, and no mirrors.

As to the BMW set up, looks very clean. I was hankerin' for a 90/6 for that very reason.

I also notice in all of Triumph's adds with riders-nobody wears eye protection! Yikes!

If they have a visor, it's always up!
