Thanks guys.

called around to the deales in my area. No one carries:

Schuberth
Caberg

I called the BMW dealership and they have the flip-up made by Schuberth, but at $500 That's really out of my price range.

Thanks for the replies though.

We really need to try on before purchase. :-D

When shopping for an inexpensive helmet a couple of years ago, I went to motorcyclehelmets.net. At the very end of the web page were the Vega helmets. They were cheap, the company offered free shipping, and I decided to try one. It's a little noisy, but very comfortable. The ventilation system works well, and it has become my favorite helmet. Check it out.

I just bought a Shoei Multitec and am pretty happy with it. A little noisier than my RF900 but not bad. Nice tight fit and minimal lift a high speeds, plus the back of the neck seems to be cut a little higher so it clears my spine pad better. It wasn't cheap, but It's a good quality helmet. Apparently the HJC is pretty much the same thing for a couple of bucks less, so that's an option.

Do they sell Vega helmets in stores?

I really need to try it on first. Well, I don't, but she has to try it on. We got screwed with a Shark helmet a few months ago. Followed manufacturers guidelines for fit, and the helmet was way to small for her. :hammer: Big waste of money.

Thanks again guys.
