My very cool 2005 Ford Mustang was rear-ended this past Saturday night by a 98 year old man driving a Ford pickup truck. He was not 88! He was not 78! He was not 68! He was 98 (NINETY EIGHT!!!) friggin years old!!! Born in 1908.

Can anyone beat this record with an older driver crashing into you? I doubt it!! This should make the Guiness Book of World Records, unfortunately.

Congrats and Condolences to you Scrambler, in a weird sort of bad news, good record sort of way.

I hope, at least, the geezer was a Civil War Vet.

Glad you're safe and healthy.

A buddie's grandma drove until 102, then decided to give up. She DIDN'T ever run into anyone though. Sure hope I can still keep my balance and all at 98.

Consider yourself and your Mustang lucky.

My Mom lives in an area with lots of elderly retirerees and she tells me horror stories of accidents involving older folks. There's a push in some places to retest them at a certain age, and maybe it's safer that way.

I know, we all have stories of the 90-something aunt who can still motor along on the interstate with no problem. Fine, if they can drive they won't mind being retested.

People just don't want to give up their driving and independence but their accident rate is cause for concern, particularly for us on 2 wheels.

Ride safe!

The rudest joke to say to somebody with of a different nationality (maybe it only works at my age level)-

"My grandfather killed your grandfather"

Can't beat the record but for a challenge try driving or riding in Bournmouth(UK). If you're under 65 you have to be out of town by sunset. Known locally as God's Waiting Room!

At the car dealership I used to work at we had a customer come in to trade her Grand Marquis in on a Mini Cooper. She had received a ticket earlier that week for going 18 in a 35.
