Been sitting around making my plans for the assorted motorcycle rally's and trips I'm heading to this coming year. Next week I'm heading up to the Chicago Cycleworld Show to check out the new bikes and rub shoulders with fellow bikeriders. (Yes, I know Triumph won't be there) The 1st of April is Jack's Place annual poker run, where as many of you will recall, we turn the local highways and byways into our own private racecourse. In June I'll be saddling up and heading to the Horse smokeout in Durham N.C. Here's an event that's got it all-choppers, bobbers, tatted up foxy chicks, party's, burnouts, races, etc. "Greaser's Heaven!" Check out Horse Backstreet Chopper mag for all the sordid details. I'll be rolling in to Vintage Bike Day's with all my Brit Iron Rebel Bros at the end of July in Ohio. We've got an entire block of motel rooms locked on for headquarters and "party central", as well as assorted campsites. Gonna be a blast! September finds me hauling ass back over to Michigan for the SpeedshifterS MC "End of Summer Bash". Had a ball there last year, and wouldn't miss it for the world! Bikes, Babes, Rockabilly, and some of the best folks you could ever meet. In between, is the Mods vs. Rockers event up in Chicago and assorted runs around the ville. Most likely, I'll be ensconced on my Triumph, but than again, I may be switching around on the trips, if I land that new Sporty Nightster. Maybe I'll see some of you on the road! Joe :-D

Sounds like a full schedule, Booze. I love the hot babes part of the whole plan.

Here are the trips I am thinking about:

June: Vegas (Baby) (if not too hot by then)

July: Lake Almanor and the Northern Sierra Nevada

July: Maybe the Monterey Moto GP

August: Wheelie School in Tracy CA

August: Bay Area Tour

October: Maybe Vegas if I wasn't able to get it in in June.

I'm heading up to the Dakotas and Southern Manitoba sometime mid to late June, a 6 or 7 day 1300 mile ride. My first big excursion.

Heading out (flying) to the Salt flats in early Sept. for a couple of days watching you racers take your turns on the Salt.

I won't mention my golf related agenda for the year...

Other Motorcycle: I wish!
July of this year is the start of the new Hawaii inter-island vehicle ferry service.

We will be able to ride around small rocks other than the one we are on.

August looks like we are heading back to Sydney for a couple of weeks.
Hopefully we can get some rides in or at least catch up with a few of the Aussie RATs.

If anyone feels like coming to Austin, TX here's a good time to do it:

Lone Star Roundup, March 30, 31, April 1st.

If you want to see lots of lead sleds, custom bikes (but no billet barges!), pre 1960 hotrods, tatted Betties, pomade, beer drinkin', burnouts in down town, mesican food eatin', kustom kulture lifestyle, then come on down!!! It's tons o fun and lasts a whole weekend!!!

I'll be there!!! It happens literally blocks from my house. I love livin in the city!

Cheapbastard, you need to register on ST.N and get involved with the thread. We have a registration for the dinner/shirt and you may/may not need a room.
