The things some people do to while away the winter months. Click Here

nb: sorry Merrycans and others. A madrigal of mufflers would not only sound bad but it wouldn't fit linguistically - hence silencers.

I bet the Triumphs play the flute section whereas the Dukes play the trombone.

We could beat their attempt with our own symphony orchestra. The dash of the 675's, the roar of the classics, the purr of the Tigers, the vibes of the Speed Twins and the bass of the Rocket III.

All we need is an opera singer, I wonder if Mare has a voice ?

Play on !

Indeed she does but it is more contralto than basso profundo.

Actually, I prefer soprano - like Anna Moffo - but then I would.

And what of the delightful Miss Ginger Wine? Oh Arch, you are a man of many whims. Or whimmins.

But ya ain't even closin in on the lovely mr. stevent... 8-)

ps being FROM NJ, I didn't bother to watch The Sopranos. Living in NYC for so long, I didn't bother to watch Sex in the City. Now, The West Wing, that's something else, even tho I live outside WDC now...

Now I've ditched my heap of half-breed British junk Miss M I think I'll be ahead by light years. I shall henceforth worship at the temple of Soichiro.

West Wing? Never seen it but Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" is a class act. Last week he had Senator Biden on. I wouldn't let him clean the stables let alone run for Prezzydent.

Too little to late Roberto....

I have a full range of mechanical pleasures for the lovely Mz.Mare....

From the finely tuned wail of my swanky new Suzuki to the gentle muted snarl of my Bonneville....the raw 'murican manliness of my rugged Explorer to the "hail fellow well met" wool sweater and old boot comfort of my tatty ol' Range Rover as we bimble along through hill and dale, sipping bottles of Guinness and nibbling on Brie and biscuits..

Her every need and desire can be met with but a turn of the key....

She of course knows this and tries to entice me with the life of the country gent, but alas my lot is here.

It's like an Greek Epic Tragedy or something ya' know?

Au Contraire, my Stevent friend....

Your mechanical marvels may mysticise magnificent Mare, but my mysterious flying machines will whip her mind to a frenzy, as we cavort around the heavens, viewing fabulous vistas that were once just the prviliege of the gods and the birds to purvey.... Majestically, we will swoop and soar amongst the gilded cotton puffs of cloud, cocooned in duaralumin and lexan, with the mighty roar of the engine, blended with the screams of delight!

Haha! I speet on your Suzuki, and as for your Rangie - well, next you will be telling me that you wear a tatty old Barbour jacket, green wellies, and own a Springer Spaniel called Ben....

Hah...

Stalks off to the hangar to smoke a quick woodbine and glug a snort of whiskey before the dawn patrol!
