Is it just me or have others noticed a increased interest by custom builders in Old School style bikes?

Seeing more ad's in mag's. V-Twin motorcycle show highlighted a builder that does Bobbers. Paul Sr did the old school bike for possible production. (Thought is was better bike that Jr's.) American Thunder is even starting to show more old school look.

Is the day of the chopper coming to an end???

I liked Paul Sr's, too. Old school works for me. Modern day choppers just seem too over-the-top.

Choppers have moved from do it yourself garage customs to shop built "rolling art" for $80K..the whole thing is played out. It's the pendulum swinging back the other way to bobbers and less fancy home built looking bikes. Fashion and style run in cycles with bikes as with everything else.

Look at how the street fighter style is starting to pick up here, they've been big in Europe for years.

jan 31st 2007, and you're just noticing the "old school" trend?

old school is old school man, it's about gone. You want to see real bikes? go to The Jockey Journal. these dudes know where it's at. Paul Sr is a douche extraordinaire, but Paul Jr is much much worse.

This is old school:

Garage built ol' school goodness on a budget. not some $100,000 billet abortion.

Paul Sr. I do not like their bikes, but Tbird is right his old school bikes are much more palatable.

What much people call a chopper is nothing more than a factory custom buildt motorcycle. Nothing against these bikes but a true chopper is one that is buildt in your garage or at one of your buddies garage. True that some custom shops build old school style customs but if they mass produce them than they are also a custom bike. The idea behind the chopper was that anyone could take and modify their motorcycle and have an one off motorcycle and the cost of the motorcycle was kept low.
