My father-in-law has several cool old BSA's (a brand new, unstarted 1960something goldstar, included). When I saw the new Bonneville the similarities in styling were obvious. After doing some research on the bike and the company, I was sold. I like that you don't see ton's of them on the road, and that there isn't the HD badass attitude that goes along with the bike. It seems to be more of a riders brand/less of an image thing...Although I think there are few bikes that are cooler than the Bonneville.

Its something only few get

My father had a 69 BSA When he was growing up in Chicago's west side.
I think that has a lot to do with it. But besides theres something about a british bike. Most bikers today or people in general just don't see that thing I can't put into words that british bikes have. The look is all its own and the feel of riding one is great. Cruisers are nice but classic british bikes just stand alone in the motorcycle world.

I have always loved Triumphs. Even when I was a little girl...I had a '71 BSA that was my baby, but had to sell her. When I picked up my Legend, i was on cloud nine and have been there ever since. I love pulling up to a row of Harley's and Sportbikes and watching people flock to the Duchess and try an figure out what she is!!! So, maybe it's an ego thing!!!

Africa Twin or Tiger?

I'd been looking at the Honda africa Twin for some time a choice made based on its amazing reliability, but the more I listened to people it became aparent that I might expect the same sort of reliability front the 955i triple, I had always loved the aggresive styling of the tiger and the fact Triumph is the one British success story made me feel all warm inside and the amiring looks you get when people realise its a Trumpet just confirm I made the right move, I don't regret my choice one bit, at first I thought I'd bitten off more than I can chew (being my first bike in the last 20 odd years) but the more I ride it the more I fall in love with it. So far I've dropped (slowly lowered to the ground) twice and both times without a single scratch to the paintwork (thanks to the handlebars and panniers).
I'm already talking about when I get a 1050 (but thats a little way off yet)

It all started in 1971.
What else was there for a kid to buy; a 2 ton Honda? I think not.
And it's been Triumphs ever since.

Anybody who has even spun around the block on one of the old ones knows how special they are.. unless they have no soul. The unmistakeable sound of the vintage in-line parallel twin still gives me goosebumps when one speeds by... even after riding them for many years. Nothing else really does it for me like an old trump.

The looks And The Name

I looked for years at other brands, yes even considered an HD, just couldnt stomach the price. Then was at my local dealer, and seen the America and Speedmaster sitting there, and took me 2 days to pick it up. The price, the styling, and of course the History.
