I digress...

It needs flip up headlights and a split rear window...

Looks like they were thinking about the rear window...

No, it wasn't. The '63 to '67 Corvettes used Sting Ray and '69 to '76 used Stingray. Either name was not used on the car in '68.
UH, it isn't saying the name was used continuously, it's just stating it was first used in '63 and last used in '76.... At least that's how I read it and the other guys here STS with me....

It's kinda weird for me. I had a 3rd Gen RX7 that the Corvette "ripped off" the side gills styling from and now have the 5th Gen Camaro that the Corvette has now "ripped off" the rear haunches and tailights from.... Oh well, at least it is in the family now...

I think it is too angular for a 'vette, especially a Stingray... and the taillights look like a camaro. The passenger grab handle in the center is a feature I just remarked on in the new SRT Viper earlier today when reading Car & Driver, wonder where that idea came from?

Guys, I am sorry I posted this story. Irish tells me the C6 story of 2001 or so is still the top news story so hold your comments about the new Sting Ray for a couple years. Again, very sorry to have bothered ya.

I like the emblem to, I think that's the same guitar lonesome Dave played in Foghat.
