So you smuggled them in? A family was stopped at the border coming back from BC into Washington State with 6 of them and the border guard equated smuggling Kinder eggs with terrorism! Illegal in US because the toy is a choking hazard! Toys don't choke people - people do!

I'm happy to send things over to you guys if you like.

This:

http://www.fda.gov/Food/GuidanceComp.../ucm086165.htm

may go some way to explaining why they don't ship. They would have to fill in prior notice forms for every order of foodstuffs as they are a commercial entity, as an individual shipping to another individual I or any other individual on here wouldln't be burdened with that.

Just looked it up and anything containing wormwood is illegal to import in to the US so 'real' absinthe is likely to be stopped at customs, although they don't have a 100% record of stopping it.

I'm happy to try but it'll be your money that's on the line!

Far be it from me to encourage any illegal activities but I err... know this bloke who buys his pipe tobacco online from "Four Noggins" in Vermont and mysmokingshop.co.uk. Occasionally, customs will open a box. This err... bloke never buys more than three tins in one order, so the worst that has ever happened is a slip inside the package informing him that customs has inspected the package. He has never been pinged for any duty or had a package confiscated. To give you an idea, three tins of top quality baccy from the USA, including shipping is less than one tin of drugstore blend garbage, over the counter here.

Customs are busy, they can`t open EVERY parcel that gets sent through and they are concerned, quite rightly, with drugs, guns and dead parrots, rather than a few tins of pipe baccy, a bottle of grog or some hot peanut butter. Here, if you order something illicit and they open your package, they will return it to the sender (at their cost) so you can get a refund. Obviously, that doesn`t apply to guns or drugs.

So, this bloke who I know would probably say "Get one of our overseas members to order it for you, worst case scenario is you`re going to lose the cost of a jar of peanut butter."
