Matchless Brand returning?
Plans afoot for a small production of replica machines......

This kind of approach to the business rarely seems to work out though, so I am dubious.
My own Matchless, meanwhile, makes little progress.

I hope they don't end up like AJS, i.e. the Matchless name on small Chinese bikes.

I think it'll work out... Kinda.
Small production run, expensive machines, gone within a few years.
I doubt it'll be another belstaff.

That's my thinking too. It doesn't look like the badge just slapped on some Chinese imports, looks like they want to make "replica" machines. Not sure how far that goes though. Retro style? Or complete replica?

It works for the Vincent & Brough Superior replicas. But that's because they're replicating rare & expensive machines, & are therefore able to charge a decent amount for their efforts, as it's the only way most people could ever hope to own one. Authentic Matchlesses or a lot more attainable, & this mob's going to have to keep a close eye on costs to deliver this bike to market at a price point that's both attractive to customers & viable for their long-term business prospects. I wish them luck, but have major doubts too.

You know why... because those bikes are hard to match... As a matter of fact they are... Well you know.
