Thanks everybody it means a lot. Usually he is our house clown bouncing all over the place like a rubber ball. Breaks the old heart when ya see your four legged furry kid just laying in his day bed looking glum because he don't feel good. Ya I wish Monday would get here like right now but the Vet Dentistry was backed up on surgeries but the Vet is calling me daily to check on progress. My kinda Vet.

I am sorry about your friend. I hope the meds help.
We have a 13 year old mini Dachs. His liver is shot from two episodes where we had to give him major doses of steroids ( he bit a possum, and later he had a slipped disc in his neck). Now he needs a liver med, and three different pain meds, twice daily. Together they help him act like he did years ago.
To get him to take the meds we give it with a little ice cream. About as much as an M&M with each med.. GLADLY takes the meds. No having to wrap up, hold or any of that.

I really do hope for the best for your friend...

I know how rough (no pun intended) it is to have a pet thats not doing well...makes you feel helpless...

...and this is from a cat person...

I missed your original thread, probably a good thing. I have hard time with dogs suffering and I cannot fathom (nor do I want to) what your going through. I have enough of a hard time when my lab's allergies flare up.

I'm so very sorry and let Skamp know that alot of love is being sent his way and hopefully enough love to heal the little guy.

My hats off to you sir, I'd be a freakin basket case in your shoes.

Thanks again everybody. The GF and I just got Skamp's meds into him and 3 more Teeth fell out which is fine because that means that much less work will have to be done at the Vet Monday and if there is any infection in those Teeth Sockets it can drain freely now too. He was much livelier this morning too. Quite lively in fact when we went to medicate him....was like holding onto a wild dog so he is getting better with the meds. Thank you everybody for the prayers and more. Skamp says "Woofz".

Glad to hear that the meds are doing the trick. Thta will go a long way in his recovery from surgery.
