I just read a review of it, face it, there are no actors anymore who fit his description, Hollywood is full of short guys now. I was really bummed, too, I've read every book and await the next ones. Besides Daniel Woodrell, Lee Childs is the only author I will buy a hardcover of, rather than wait for a cheaper paperback edition. Oh, and Elmore Leonard, but he's mostly retired now.
As one reviewer commented "I know Jack Reacher, and Tom Cruise is no Jack Reacher.

Doesn't matter...movie comes out 12/21....right while the Earth is being vaporized in a giant firestorm from a solar mass ejection causing the planet to go spinning into the center of our galaxy and go crashing into a death star 4000 times bigger than our sun.

Hmmm...better put the armor back in my jacket and get out the FF just in case.

Damn those Mayans....

Regardless of the physical mismatch, I can't see Cruise pulling off the personalty and attitude. Is he a big fan of Lee Childs and the series? I heard he bought the rights to the entire series.
