American Pickers.
And Fast N' Loud on occasion. I'm not really that much into automobiles but I like most of what they do and how they act. I also like that sometimes they make money and sometimes they loose it. IMO keeps it a little more "real."
And sometimes the British Top Gear.

None.
"Reality tv" is soap opera drama that fools some people into thinking it's real.
The genuine danger of that is that those "fooled people" begin to think that the world and REAL people actually work and behave that way. They adopt that drama as a model for their own behavior and condemn themselves to delusion.

Yeah, but I doubt there's anyone here that stupid and easily taken in. [Insert exceptions here] A friend loves to tell the family story of his grandfather having to be dragged to his first "talking picture." He sat in silence for a few minutes after it started, and then stood up and shouted, "IT AIN'T SO!" and stormed out.
None of it is real, and heaven help anyone who takes it too seriously. High-brow, low-brow... It's like music, I don't apologize anymore for what I like.

I've a friend who's a set builder on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, & Australian Survivor. He tells me that the contestants do actually have to go through the torture, while the crew are living in comparative luxury, right next to them. & having lived in a small town in SA, which was used to film a NZ reality TV series, I can confirm that they really do put the contestants through hell, with many bruises & even a few broken limbs.

I heard a story about the making of a reality television series, and how they would cut and clip and re-arrange what folks said to paint a completely different story from what was actually happening.
The final scene was supposed to take place in November, but they were really filming in September. They pulled leaves from the trees, painted the rest of the leaves yellow and killed the grass with herbicide.
So, right on Bolder, it's not good, and its not even real.
Except for Alaska State Troopers, which is perfect.
Here's the link to that story: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radi...sip?act=2#play
Oh Gawd, now I see that that story was fiction. Jeesh, I didn't realize that when I was first listening to it. So the story about reality TV not being real wasn't real. Crimminy, this world is too friggen complicated.
