Cool Bikes on Your Local Craigslist...

One of the first things I do almost every morning is to log on and check out to see if there are any deals on craigslist for cars, trucks and motorcycles that are of interest to me. I assume from some of the posts on the forum that many of us here do the same thing. It's kind of like window shopping for gear heads...

We have a thread for odd stuff on craigslist and a thread for overpriced stuff on craigslist, so I thought it would be a good idea to post some cool bikes that you find on your local craigslist.

Here's a start:

I really like these old Goldwings without all the touring stuff on them. I really don't know why other than the fact that my understanding is that they were originally conceived as a muscle bike by Honda. And my understanding is that they handle better than they should.

A few tastefull mods to this baby and it would be a hell of a rider. I think he is asking a bit much. About $2500 would be a good deal. This time of year and you might just walk up with cash in your hand and ride away with it for close to that price...

This looks cool, but it's a lot of money for a bike to cut up.

This one might have potential, and the price is better.
oops! there...that's better!

This looks nice for the money, too.

I like these old Goldwings too. I also like the low miles and that the owner makes a point to clearly show the bikes few flaws, a ding here and there and rusty spokes. That shows some integrity.

I've seen pics of one or two of this vintage bike made into amazing looking cafe type rides. Look for a guy named Raandak and the restoration projects he turns out.

A nicely cafe'd Goldwing still looks a bit like a rhinoceros in a string bikini, but I'd love to throw my leg over one sometime...

A rhino in a bikini would be a hell of a ride, I agree with you there.

The Yamaha reminds me of the Suzuki 400 Apache. Not a very good dirt bike but a friend put street tires on the thing and carved up the canyons like a house afire.
