That's just wrong. I wonder how much the background global radiation has increased since 1945?
Thanks Google. I do not know the veracity of this page, but, sobering none the less.

The Japanese have an understandably negative attitude toward nuclear weapons, but, since today is the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, let's not forget how they became the only nation against which they have been used.

I'm not sure if the OP was made with Pear Harbor day in mind. I didn't make that connection when I first viewed the video but I did find it an interesting historic perspective, having sweated out the Cuban missle crisis and much of the cold war.
WWII is ancient history with respect to the development of nuclear weapons and the consequences of nuclear proliferation are more significant than the reasons that caused it. The devices and delivery systems we have now dwarf the mayhem that we brought to Japan.
I understand that Australia also has a disdain for nuclear weapons. Any one down under want to comment on that?

1941, the year the Japanese invaded Hollywood.

I can only speak for myself, I have no problem with them, necessary evil is the way I look at it.
Australia has the whole spectrum of attitudes to nukes, from the far left loonies to the nut job right wingers, same as most countries I guess, not one homogeneous attitude.

And with the sheer number of tests in the western USA, I'm surprised that San Francisco hasn't ended up in Hawaii by now. Rift faults, tectonic plates and all that, y'know.

I am amazed that those of us who grew up in the 50's, 60's and 70's don't all have extra toes and third eyes. Not that there is anything wrong with it if you do!
