Have you ever been kissed?
Has your motorcycle (because it couldn't have been you) attracted crazy interest?
I was riding fron LA to SF today on the Pacific Coast Highway. This time of year (winter) they do construction that necessitates lane closures and significant delays.
I was at one such delay when the female passenger from the car in front of me jumped out and asked me questions in Japanise while bowing. Of ourse I said yes and smiled.
Next, her husband jumped out, and took a picture of me on my bike with his wife hugging and kissing me.
All I can say is:
1. God is Goood
2. Triumph is wonderful
3. And, Japanise women on the PCH know how to make a man feel like he is one....
What's the best thing that's happened to you because of your bike?

I once had a drunk chick ask me what kind of Harley my Sprint was?

Did you tell her Tripps?
All I need to add to this thread at this point is owning a bike is a deal maker or breaker - depending on the chic. Yes, I've been kissed for owning a bike; but I've also been run away from for the same reason.

Ropeferry, not to take anything away from your devilish good looks, but your encounter sounds like a mistaken celebrity sighting. Maybe you should have offered to autograph her... never mind.

Wait a minute. I checked your avatar. It says your location is New Hampshire.
And you rode a Triumph pretty much coast to coast all the way to California Hwy. 1.
In one day?
And it's December?
And there was road construction too?
And you are fluent in Japanese?
Damn. Now I wanna kiss ya.
You know... like Marcel Marceau, but not like Maurice Chevalier.
Your friend Nort

My '92 Buell RS did it all the time.
-park it at a HD dealer and watch the store come to a standstill and gather at the window
-parked at a small store, went in, a fellow came in after me. Told me there was a small crowd gathered around it. Looked and about twelve people were staring and discussing.
-parked at a big chain electronics store. Guy parked next to me and waited for me to ask about it. Wanted to know if it was one of those new Buell bikes he heard of. Let him down easy about its age. At 14 it looked like it just left the showroom floor.
My 97 S1, garners a lot of attention also. Also a lot of questions...
Now the Trophy seems to have the same effect on people. With the question, "Triumph is still building bikes?" being heard the most. Then tell them its an '02.

I had a slightly modded SV650 turned into a cafe racer, beautiful blond in a red Ferrari stepped out of the passenger side and asked if she could sit on the bike and get a picture. I thought it was awesome that a $4k bike was cooler than some red car. But, not hugs or kisses.

Full disclosure: I was wearing my full face helmet when the Japanese lady muckled on to me.
I'm certain if I had removed my helmet It would have elicited a tirade of terrified Japanese expletives.
Also, I am doing part time work here in California, so I bought a second Bonneville here. My two sweethearts have never met, and I intend to keep them apart. kinda like having my wife meet my west coast girlfriend, no need to cause unnecessary jealousy and conflict (if the girlfriend part was true, I wouldn't post it here. But, I also would keep her a secret to keep my wife from separating me from my private parts with a dull knife.)

Nothing but old guys (like me) coming up and starting conversations about how they liked their Bonnies back in the day and what year was mine. I tell em it's an 07 and half of em are amazed Triumph is still in business.
