I think that's the crux of what really got under people's skin... Costas being "just another hypocrite".

He can rant to the public about his so-called views on gun control in the name of safety, but he's more than happy with his own personal armed protection. The fact he can criticize sports fans for owning handguns, yet he himself lives behind a wall of armed security guards. That makes him both a narcissist, and an elitist IMO. Just another hypocrite who believes in the old double standard of "do as I say, not as I do.

From what I've read today this seems to be the case...Costas enjoys the comfort and safety of living in an area that is protected by armed security guards. In addition he is afforded the same personal protection in cities travelling to the stadiums. In this regard Bob Costas is a total hypocrite no doubt. You are spot on Phil with the "do as I say, not as I do" double standard.

Bob

I for one quit listening to Costas a long time ago. He puts me to sleep.

I can tell you a story about a man who got a surprise one night in Nashville. He became very apologetic and shuffled off down the street.

That's what we have elections for. So do you. And when the government DOES take away important rights (like your Patriot Act, we have similar) we don't stop it.

This is a gun thread. Guns are an acceptable topic here, politics and religion are not.

To be clear, any mention of constitutional or other "rights" is political.

Well, then it appears that this discussion is over as the thread was established on "freedom of speech" and "the right to bear arms" points as part of the early discussion. 1st and 2nd Ammendent Rights under our Constitution which would make it a constitutional topic and on the fringe of political...am I missing something Saphena?

Bob Costas is proof that bad plastic surgery can and does affect your brain. What an ass monkey. Read a little more about this football player and you will soon realize that he was less than an ideal citizen. Much less. Once again, a child is the true victim of this whole mess.

No mention of Nazis yet but the thread is still young.

So when someone breaks into my home should I throw a ballot box at them?

No, but if the government wants into your house, you vote for someone else.
