True, but most people don't pay attention to the "diffusion of knowledge" any more. They would rather keep up on what's happening on Two and a half men, Friends or Baby Boo Boo, Nascar, and the like, than current affairs. Todays population is almost completely uninformed about current affairs/issues and vote accordingly.

I think he was refering to the pro athlete specifically the black athlete and thier gun culture. Basically he states that they all carry guns. Not once has a pro athlete saved his life or the life of another with his gun. They sure have shot up alot of other sh*t though.

And then there is Thomas Jefferson's following quote:
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

He was a big believer in human sacrifices. And a very bad gardener.

I'm not arguing here, just pointing this out.
Here's some numbers for everyone.
All in 2010
Number of gun related deaths: 31,200
Number of suicides from guns: 17,300 (51% of that 31,200, so over half)
Number of homicides from guns: 12,600 (40% of that 31,200)
60% of total homicides were from guns.
Ok, ready?
Number of deaths from alcohol: 75,000 (a 32% drop from 10 years ago, still more than AIDS)
Number of deaths from drunk driving: 40,900.
That means 10,000 more people died from driving drunk than guns!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like we have a drinking problem.
I bet Costas has nothing to say about that Dallas Cowboy who killed his buddy day before yesterday driving drunk.

Costas is just another member of the media royalty. I used to enjoy Costas during a baseball game. I'm no longer a fan.
