The camera work is much better than the motorcycle riding. :suspicious
P.S. I think the guy may have just installed his cases and forgot they were there. Something like that would happen to me. I tend to forget things these days. Could happen to anyone really. hope the guy didn't get hurt too bad.
Reminds me of one of my single handed half drunk docking attempts at happy hour one night. Hint, never jump to the dock...back out and retry the landing so you can step off
About 50 people watched me fall backwards off the dock after coming up just short of a perfect landing. one guy asked if I needed a hand while I was treading water with docklines in hand. I didn't hang around since the inlet water is toxic.
Luckily this guys bike landed on a solid dock. I could see that happening to me.
Why would anyone be filming this? Take away the bike and you have somebody filming a boat. A moored boat. Not exactly riveting entertainment, even for a sailing freak. I am not for one minute suggesting that it was set up, but, once again, why film a static boat?
Lol! If that's true I can just imagine the conversation post accident: "Please tell me that you didn't get that on film" "Yeah, I got it all, and I posted it on Youtube" I'd be well pissed off!
Funny as ****, but then on second look as MG mentions - perfectly filmed, a steady pan as the rider falls into the boat, the zoom out at the end, and all the while not a single "oh ****e!" comment from the camera man? Sorry, still funny, but definitely staged.
It's one of the MotoJournal guys. They have some super awesome videos on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MotoJournal. I'm guessing they were filming a segment when this happened. All the guys are awesome riders, and I suggest checking out some of their videos... they're in French, but the riding is so good that it doesn't matter!
If if was staged, he has bigger balls than me. That could've easily gone south. Hang on - Why.T.F. would you plough a new bike into a (expensive?) boat and risk serious injury just to make me laugh at you on-line?
Me either. It looks like he hit rather hard too. But man is that great camera work or what!
