I'm guessing the Ohlins will be left off the production bike?
BTW, I saw one other source quoting 22hp and Rs 1,60,000 (roughly $3K US) as a price.
Performance issues aside, it looks better than my Thruxton did right off the floor.

It's definitely a looker. I'm also skeptical that they can pull off decent quality, given their terrible track record, but if they do, then hooray. I'd be shocked if the price was anywhere near 3 grand, though, given current asking prices of the rest of the model line.

RE would have to prove a tremendous increase in quality/reliability before I'd even consider buying one.

The REs look great but they're just too darn small for me.

Seems that the bike has finally broken cover -- at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show
The expected price is US$7,295.00. Several accessories include a two-person seat and clubman bars.

Heck of a lot higher price than early releases led us to believe. Still a sharp looking bike but not a bike to pay $8k for.

Meh. Not impressed. Notice in the video he had to ask people to clap... Not a whole lot of excitement there. Price is way too high for such an unpowerful off brand bike like that. That they announce it as the royal enfield cafe racer ... Might as well call it the royal enfield trying to make a buck by milking the cool trendy thing to do.
I can't see anyone not just paying the couple extra bucks and getting a thruxton.

Great looking bike, we made the speedo & tacho for the prototype bike. As some you you know I work for a company who manufactures SMITHS instruments under liecence. the bike not only had SMITHS instruments, but also Ohlins suspension, brembo brakes and a harris frame plus other items
I saw the bike at the NEC this year, a bit dissapointed, some of the prototype parts were replaced with indian manufactures parts. realistically yhink they missed a trick here as they could be onto a big thing here in the UK if they uses historic manufacturers, like on the prototype.
I talked to quite a few uk builders at the show, and they liked the idea of uk supplied parts.
